Dear Dr. Ashby,

I haven't heard it mentioned before, so I will tell you now in case you don't already know.

The reason that Calif. has laws on the books regarding the distance schools and other buildings must be from power lines is because of a lawsuit brought against PG&E.

There was a school built below the power lines and there was a
disproportionate amount of anomalies amongst the students and faculty. It was over 30 years ago, but if I remember correctly about 11% of the the kids and teachers were diagnosed with leukemia and cancers throughout their bodies.

The lawsuit was settled, no "fault" was found, but laws were enacted to protect people. Why are you hesitating, and why put so many in danger, why can't we learn from California's mistakes and do what they did?

It is a travesty what CCUSD is doing, endangering our children and the people who work there.
